My urban homestead is my lifeline. Especially during this Covid pandemic. I’ve been growing my own in Leslieville, Toronto, Ontario for 10 years. It’s quite outstanding given our 5 km proximity to downtown Toronto.
When lockdown started my husband began construction of a gorgeous greenhouse made from reclaimed windows. It was a dream I never thought would come true.
I was recently featured in the New York Times for sharing my homemade goods with neighbours and creating a network of sharing, kindness and generosity.
My goal is to expand this beyond my immediate community. What I would love even more than a sale, is for you to be inspired to create your own homegrown and homemade goods and to share them.
