There are so many layers of flavour in this Smoked Orange and Saffron Salt.
I’m dreaming of margaritas, risottos, fried shrimp and grilled chicken.
I start with fresh organic oranges . I hit them with 8 hours of cold hickory smoke on my husband's UDS (ugly drum smoker which he built himself) and then dry them at the lowest possible temperatures to preserve scent and flavour. Then it's blended with the highest quality saffron and sea salt.
I simply cannot express how outstanding this Smoked Orange and Saffron Salt is. It’s so different with multiple difinitive yet complementary layers of flabour. It smells and tastes divine.
Think cocktails or finishing salt.
My spices are 1000% better than store bought in flavour and fragrance. I guarantee it. If you are a chef or a foodie you must have this in your repertoire.
