These beautiful Lemon Balm Seeds were harvested in my backyard.

Growing lemon balm is very easy. The plants aren’t picky about where they grow and will grow in almost any soil, but they prefer rich, well drained soil. Lemon balm plants will grow in part shade to full sun, but flourish best in full sun.

Lemon Balm seeds need to be cold stratified for sprouting. This means that you must plant them in the Fall for sprouting in the Spring. Or, you can put them in your fridge for a few weeks (min 7 days) and plant them in the Spring. At this point they can be planted directly or started indoors.

Lemon balm seeds need ample light in order to germinate and grow. To start your plant from seed, begin them in a shallow pot or dish, barely covering the seeds with more than a sprinkle of soil (this should be done about six to eight weeks before the last frost if you want to transplant the herb outdoors).

You can transplant your Lemon Balm outside as the threat of frost has passed and your seedlings have their first set of "true leaves" on them. Lemon balm will grow about 2 feet tall and has fragrant leaves that are "heart shaped".

Lemon Balm is a great medicinal herb that can be used in tea or tinctures etc. However, I am not an herbalist or a doctor, so please do your own research and consult a professional before using them for this purpose.

These seeds were harvested from well established plants in my backyard that have never been sprayed or fertilized. They are completely organic. Also we DO NOT add any PRESERVATIVES of any kind. What you get is pure, unadulterated Lemon Balm Seeds.
