These beautiful Butterfly Weed Seeds were harvested from my neighbours yard.
Butterfly Weed is in the same genus family as Milkweed and is also a great food source for the Monarch Butterly and other beneficial insects.
Butterfly Weed seeds need to be cold stratified for sprouting. This means that you must plant them in the Fall for sprouting in the Spring. Or, you can put them in your fridge for a few weeks and plant them in the Spring. At this point they can be planted directly or started indoors.
Butterfly Weed is a perennial that dies back to the ground every year. It may not reach it's full potential in the first year.
These seeds were harvested from wild plants that have never been sprayed or fertilized. They are completely organic. Also we DO NOT add any PRESERVATIVES of any kind. What you get is pure, unadulterated Butterfly Weed Seeds.
