This fragrant Smoked Berbere Spice is crafted from fresh red peppers grown in my greenhouse. Then I hit it with 8 hours of hickory smoke in my husband's UDS (ugly drum smoker). Then it's dried onsite in small batches at the lowest possible temperatures to preserve scent and flavour. And finally, it's combined with freshly ground organic spices.
Seriously, this is 1000% better than anything you will find in the supermarket. You will understand the minute you open your package. If you are a Chef or a Foodie, you absolutely must have this in your spice repertoire.
We do use all organic practices, but are not certified. No pesticide sprays or chemical fertilizers are used. Also we DO NOT add any PRESERVATIVES of any kind. What you get is pure, unadulterated Smoked Berbere Spice.
